Il Codice etico della Rivista DIALETTICA&FILOSOFIA si ispira al “Committee on Publication Ethics” (COPE) relativamente all’approccio etico alla pubblicazione di opere scientifiche. L’intera Direzione della Rivista è in linea con lo spirito delle raccomandazioni del COPE nell’adottare tutte le possibili misure contro le negligenze e assicurare buone pratiche dal punto di vista etico nel processo di pubblicazione. In particolare è previsto che tutte le parti coinvolte – Direzione, Redazione, Autori e Revisori – conoscano e condividano i seguenti principi etici.
Doveri della Direzione e del Comitato di Redazione
Decisioni sulla pubblicazione
La Direzione si assume la responsabilità della decisione di pubblicare o meno gli articoli proposti alla Rivista sulla base di una revisione anonima a singolo cieco (single blind peer review) fatta da un esperto revisore (referee). Nelle sue decisioni, la Direzione si atterrà alle strategie e all’impostazione editoriale della Rivista. Essa è inoltre vincolata dalle disposizioni di legge vigenti in materia di diffamazione, violazione del copyright e plagio.
Correttezza e non discriminazione
I Direttori decidono esclusivamente in base al valore scientifico, alla rilevanza e all’originalità del contenuto dell’articolo senza discriminazioni di sesso, razza, genere, religione, origine etnica, cittadinanza, orientamento sessuale, identità di genere, età e orientamento politico degli autori dei contributi.
Riservatezza, conflitto di interessi e divieto di utilizzazione o divulgazione
I Direttori e il Comitato di Redazione si impegnano a non rivelare informazioni sui contributi proposti per la pubblicazione a persone diverse dall’autore, dai revisori e dall’editore o stampatore, e si impegnano a non usare per le proprie ricerche i contenuti dei contributi non pubblicati senza l’espresso consenso scritto dell’autore.
La Rivista segue il procedimento di revisione tra pari a singolo cieco per assicurarsi che il materiale inviato rimanga strettamente confidenziale durante la revisione. I Direttori individuano il referee sulla base della competenza e della fiducia per avere una valutazione adeguata dell’articolo al fine della pubblicazione.
Doveri degli Autori degli articoli inviati alla Rivista
Originalità scientifica
L’Autore garantisce che il contributo sottoposto a valutazione sia inedito, scientificamente originale e non sottoposto contemporaneamente ad altre riviste, volumi o periodici, qualora non vi sia su questo espresso consenso della Direzione. Se l’articolo sarà pubblicato in seguito in altri periodici o volumi, la Rivista dovrà esserne informata e acconsentire, fermo restando l’espresso riferimento alla pubblicazione sulla stessa.
L’Autore è tenuto altresì a citare adeguatamente i testi utilizzati seguendo le norme editoriali indicate per la pubblicazione sulla Rivista, avendo cura che il lavoro e/o le parole di altri autori siano adeguatamente parafrasate o citate letteralmente con opportuna evidenza di ogni fonte. Gli Autori sono tenuti a seguire le norme editoriali della Rivista.
Integrazione dell’opera
I Direttori potranno chiedere agli Autori le correzioni e le integrazioni opportune, anche a seguito della valutazione anonima dei revisori. In determinati casi, la Direzione potrà comunicare all’Autore il giudizio anonimo. Gli Autori possono esprimere in proposito le loro osservazioni o obiezioni, su cui deciderà poi la Direzione.
La Direzione si riserva di apportare modifiche meramente editoriali dopo la prima correzione delle bozze, per l’omogeneità di pubblicazione della Rivista.
Paternità dell’opera
La paternità dell’opera deve risultare chiaramente: devono apparire come coautori tutti coloro che abbiano eventualmente dato un contributo significativo alla realizzazione dell’articolo. Deve anche essere esplicitamente riconosciuto il contributo dato da altre persone in modo significativo ad alcune fasi della ricerca o su alcuni aspetti del contributo. Nel caso di contributi a più mani, deve risultare correttamente con chiarezza la quota-parte di ogni Autore.
Conflitti di interesse
L’Autore non deve avere conflitti d’interesse che potrebbero aver condizionato i risultati della ricerca, le tesi in favore delle quali si argomenta o le interpretazioni proposte. L’Autore deve inoltre indicare gli eventuali finanziatori della ricerca o del progetto da cui deriva il contributo.
Rimedio ad inesattezze dell’articolo
Se un Autore individua in un suo articolo un errore o un’inesattezza rilevante, deve informare con tempestività la Rivista e fornire tutte le indicazioni necessarie per segnalare in calce o in appendice dell’articolo le modifiche necessarie. Egli deve inoltre provvedere alla correzione del manoscritto collaborando attivamente con il team editoriale, anche qualora la segnalazione gli giunga dalla Direzione o Redazione della Rivista, salvo accordo con essa.

Contributo alla decisione editoriale
La peer-review è un procedimento che aiuta la Direzione della Rivista a valutare la qualità scientifica dei contributi e consente anche all’Autore di migliorare il proprio testo.
Rispetto dei tempi
Il Referee che non si senta adeguato o sufficientemente qualificato all’ incarico richiesto per revisionare la ricerca riportata nel manoscritto o che ritenga di non riuscire a revisionarlo nei tempi indicati è tenuto a comunicarlo con la massima tempestività alla Direzione della Rivista, ritirandosi del processo di revisione.
Correttezza ed oggettività
La peer-review deve essere svolta con correttezza e oggettività. I Referenti sono invitati a motivare adeguatamente le proprie valutazioni sull’articolo loro inviato. Ogni giudizio personale sull’autore è inopportuno: non è ammesso criticare o offendere personalmente un autore. Le osservazioni devono essere tecnicamente ben formulate e non si possono configurare come critiche di natura ideologica o, comunque, contenenti presupposti scientifico-culturali di natura soggettiva. Ogni dichiarazione, osservazione o argomentazione riportata deve preferibilmente essere accompagnata da un corrispondente riferimento al testo.
Eventuale indicazione di testi
Il Referente è invitato ad indicare con precisione gli estremi bibliografici di opere fondamentali trascurate dall’Autore nel contributo. Egli deve inoltre segnalare eventuali somiglianze o sovrapposizioni del testo ricevuto in lettura con altre opere a lui note.
Conflitto d’interessi e divulgazione
I manoscritti ricevuti per la revisione devono essere trattati come documenti riservati. Essi non devono essere mostrati o discussi con chiunque non sia stato eventualmente autorizzato dalla Direzione. Informazioni riservate o indicazioni ottenute durante il procedimento di peer-review devono essere ritenute strettamente confidenziali: non possono essere usate per un vantaggio personale.
I Referee sono tenuti a non accettare in lettura contributi nei confronti dei quali sussista un conflitto di interessi dovuto a precedenti relazioni di collaborazione o concorrenza con l’Autore (di per sé ignoto, ma eventualmente riconosciuto per deduzione) e/o a connessioni con gli autori, gli enti o le istituzioni collegate al manoscritto.
The Code of Ethics of the Journal DIALETTICA & FILOSOFIA is inspired by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding the ethical approach to the publication of scientific works. The entire Management of the journal is in accordance with the spirit of the COPE recommendations in taking all possible measures against negligence and ensuring good ethical practices in the publication process. Specifically, it is expected that all parties involved - Management, Editorial Board, Authors and Reviewers - know and share the following ethical principles.
Duties of the Management and the Editorial Board
Decisions to Publication
The management takes responsibility for the decision whether or not to publish articles submitted to the Journal on the basis of an anonymous single blind peer review by an expert reviewer (referee). In its decisions, the management will stick to the strategies and the editorial approach of the Journal. It is also constrained by the legal requirements concerning defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
Fairness and Non-discrimination
The management will reach a decision solely on the basis of the scientific value, relevance and originality of the content of the article without discrimination on the basis of sex, race, gender, religion, ethnic origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, age and political orientation of the authors of the contributions.
Confidentiality, Conflict of Interests, Prohibition of the Use or Disclosure
The management and the Editorial Board commit not to disclose information about the proposed contributions to anyone other than the author, reviewers and publisher or printer, and not to use the contents of unpublished contributions for their own research without the express written consent of the Author.
The Journal follows the single-blind peer review process to ensure that submitted material remains strictly confidential during the review process. The management identifies the referee based on competence and trust in order to have an adequate review of the article for the publication.
Duties of the Authors of the Articles
Scientific Originality
The Author assures that the contribution submitted for the review is unpublished and scientifically original. It must not have been submitted at the same time to other journals, volumes or periodicals, without the express consent of the Management. A subsequent publication in another journal or volume is possible with the consent of the Managment and with an explicit reference to the previous publication in this journal.
The Author is also required to adequately quote the texts used following the editorial standards indicated for publication in the Journal, taking care that the work and/or words of other authors are adequately paraphrased or quoted literally with appropriate evidence of each source. Authors are required to follow the editorial standards of the Journal.
Integration of the text
The management may ask the Authors for appropriate corrections and integrations, with regard to the outcomes of the blind review. Occasionally, the management may communicate the outcome of the review to the Author. The Authors may express their observations or objections and the Editorial Board will ultimately decide.
The Management reserves the right of editorial changes after the first proofreading, for the homogeneity of the journal‘s publication.
Authorship of the Text
The authorship of the work must be made clear: all those who may have significantly contributed to the article must appear as co-authors. The contribution made by others in a significant way to certain stages of the research or on certain aspects of the article must also be explicitly acknowledged. In the case of many authors, the exact amount of text to which each author contributed must be clearly stated.
Conflict of Interests
The Author must not have any conflict of interest that could have influenced the results of the research, the defended theses or the proposed interpretations. The Author must also indicate any funder of the research or project from which the contribution derives.
Rectification of Inaccuracies in the Article
If an Author identifies a relevant error or inaccuracy in one of his articles, he must promptly inform the journal and provide all necessary indications to point out the necessary changes at the bottom or in the appendix of the article. He/she must also correct the manuscript by actively collaborating with the Editorial Board, even if he/she is informed by the Management or Editorial Board of the Journal, unless they agree to do so.
Duties of the Referee
Contribution to the Editorial Decision
The Peer-review is a process that helps the journal's Management in evalueting the scientific quality of contributions and also helps the authors to improve their text.
Timeliness
A referee who does not feel adequate or sufficiently qualified for the task of reviewing the research reported in the manuscript, or feels unable to review it within the specified deadline, is required to notify the Journal's Management as soon as possible and withdraw from the review process.
Fairness and Objectivity
The peer-review must be conducted fairly and objectively. Referees are requested to adequately justify their reviews of the article submitted to them. Any personal judgement reguarding the author is inappropriate: it is not permitted to criticise or personally offend an Author. Comments must be technically well formulated and cannot be construed as ideological criticism or, in any case, based on a subjective scientific-cultural assumption. Each statement, observation or argument reported must ideally be accompanied by a corresponding reference to the text.
Possible Indication of Texts
The Referee is requested to accurately indicate the bibliographical references of fundamental works ignored by the Author in the contribution. He/she should also point out any similarities or overlaps of the text he/she has received with other works known to him/her.
Conflict of Interests and Disclosure
Manuscripts received for the review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with anyone not authorised by the Management. Sensitive informations or indications obtained during the peer-review process must be kept strictly confidential: they may not be used for personal gain.
Referees are required not to accept for reading contributions in which there is a conflict of interests due to previous collaborative or competitive relationships with the Author (in itself unknown, but possibly acknowledged by inference) and/or connections with authors, entities or institutions connected with the manuscript.
